Combestone Tor on Dartmoor.

I frequently visit this Tor but on our last several meetings the area was covered in a heavy mist.

On this particular visit the Tor and surrounding area was very clear.

The sunrise was superb and it was worth getting up at 5am for.

Took a visit out to Widecombe in the Moor. It was another misty morning on Dartmoor but Widecombe seemed clear of any mist.

I got some shots of the church and surrounding area from various different angles.

Went upto Dartmoor intending to revisit Combstone Tor but the mist was so thick it just was not goning to happen.

With Venford Reservoir just around the corner I decided to walk around the man made lake and dam.
There appears to be some building works going on there at the moment but it didnt get in the way at all. The building works are restricted to a corner of the dam.

Not sure what the building works are for they they look pretty extensive.

Anyway, the walk around the lake is highly recommended, particularly at the break of dawn.

The air was just so fresh and the water was very still, reflecting the trees in the water extremely well and defined.

The shots I got are listed below and linked to the gallery as usual.

Visited Buckfast Abbey in the hope of getting some shots of the Abbey at night.

Unfortunately the Abbey was not illuminated, but there were some lighting on around the grounds.
